Beezer found this really really long snake by the pool today. It was wrestling with a really really big frog. We watched for some time while the snake tried to pull the frog from the water, and then onto the rocks where it could eat it's catch. After almost 30 min the snake gave up and dropped the frog back onto the rocks and retreated under the topmost rock. I was concerned about getting the body of the frog from that side of the pool. But after a bit, the frog started moving. I guess the frog won. The last picture shows the frog on the rock and if you look closely, you can see the snake under the top rock. Never a dull moment here in Texas!
The snake appears to be a Gulf Coast Ribbon Snake - not poison. But really big for his breed. Got up this morning and the frog is at the bottom of the pool. Not moving. Great! Now what do I do? I think I'll call Seth, the pool guy. Dead stuff is yucky!

Poor frog, so I guess the snake must have suffocated the frog or something. Talk about biting off more than you can shew, that frog is huge compared to that snake. I am going to be freaked out every time I sit in that hot tub now. Those are some pretty cool pictures though.
