Amanda posted a picture on her blog of the kids on a statue at Zilker Park. Until that moment I hadn't realized that this picture is part of our history. We've been taking the same picture, with kids at different ages, for years now. The wise, kind gentlemen in the statue are still there, still the same, and still ready to enlighten and entertain my kids and then my grandkids. I need to go through my pictures and find them all and make a collage that will show progression from kids to grandkids.

Serving the Pig
That pig head I posted before was a little gross - so here's the "rest of the story". We served our third pig at a youth conference. Everyone was amazed, grossed out, excited, and a whole list of other emotions. Many proclaimed they would not eat it. I think they changed their minds. Everyone tasted the pig and many came back for 2nds, 3rds, and even 4ths. It was good. I think I'm about done with pig dinners for a while - at least the kind that come with feet and a head. In fact, the head is still in my 'fridge waiting for Danny to eat the brains. If it's there after today it is going out!! Too freaky opening the door and seeing it there. And the though of eating brains freaks me out.
