One Amazing Woman!!

Anna Davies - pictured with her children Caleb and Emma, has a very inspiring blog detailing her fight with cancer.   Recently she made the brave decision to have her leg amputated.  I'm not sure I could have decided that and still had the positive outlook she has.   I wanted to share her info with the family so we can all remember her in our prayers.  There is a link to her blog on my blogsite - over there to the right.

A visit with the Cows

One group of "girls" over by the old house
Danny offering up the cubes - these cows sure do love their cow cubes!!

Tyson turned out to be a great Cow-Poke.  He wasn't afraid of the cows at all,
unlike his grandma who still gets a little nervous when surrounded by animals
that weigh over a ton each.  Tyson protected me and helped feed the cattle.
Then drove the four-wheeler all over the ranch without any help.

I finally got to visit the ranch and see the cows in their new home.  That is almost all the cows moved onto the ranch.  Three are still visiting the neighbor's ranch.  We tried for a long time on Monday night to get them to come home - only saw them once and they ran.  Tuesday morning we tried again and got them all the way to the gate, but couldn't separate them from the neighbor's cows and get them through the gate.  Danny is going back on Thursday to try again.   Tyson and I took the four-wheeler out earlier Thursday morning with some apples for the cattle. While we were feeding them, some of the cows found the bucket of cattle cubes in the back and were helping themselves.  They love those cubes - but we needed the cubes to tempt our absent cows back home so Tyson and I took off - it was a while before the cows stopped trying to follow.  They really really wanted those cubes.  In fact, when we got to the ranch Monday around noonish the cattle had opened the big garage style door and eaten all they could find in the barn.   They were not in the bar itself, but had pulled bags of cubes out the door to eat them.  We know to lock the barn better in the future.

Our Family

For all of you who have not seen the entire family together yet - here we are.  Danny and I, our kids, our grandkids, and even Aunt Angi.    Of course we don't look just like this anymore, after all, this has been 5 months - the grandkids have grown Lots and Lots since then.

What a patient PaPa

I'd forgotten about this picture until Amanda posted it to her blog.  I love seeing Danny interact with the grandkids.  He turns into a big kid himself, and they really respond to him.

Tyson's Favorite Activity

I think Tyson would never get out of the pool, if he were given that option.  The kid swims like a fish!!

Girls Camp

Danny was lucky enough to catch a ride or drive while at camp.  I was too.
That's one good thing that comes from bad knees.

However, I think Danny may just have taken the spirit of Girls Camp
a little too seriously.  What do you think?

We made tiles to line a butterfly garden.  Fun stuff.
Mine is the one with the palm trees and blue clouds.

Oh the heat, the bugs, and the funny tasting water.  That's girls camp.  Add to that rain in my tent, and some very kind people who hung my bedding out to dry for me, and testimony meetings that were wonderful, and lots and lots of camp songs and you pretty much have my week last week.   It has taken me a four days to recover but I'm almost to the point of thinking about going back next year.

Look Like Someone's Ready to Drive.

Young Musicians

I'm sure they will get much better with practice, but it was fun to see Kael joining in while Tyson "played" the piano.  They seem to have a natural talent - or something along those lines.

WE GOT COWS!!!

I can't wait to share cows with my grandkids.  I'll post pictures but a visit would be nice too.
