Heart Attack

The Beehives gave me a "heart attack" tonight. Made me feel loved. They painted the windows (note how the back window says Mr Bills is a Hottie!) and filled the inside with posters and cut out hearts. Lots and lots of hearts. I rode home and got the camera - took some pictures - and the rain started. Not just light rain but amazing, hard, wet rain that cleaned off most of the writing. It still says Hottie however. Think I'll leave that one there for a while.

Guitar Hero and Birthdays

Danny enjoyed the closeness with this little guy - until KK woke up,
then he was too active to snuggle for long.

KK looks almost angelic with his green glow-stick halo
Medina and Calli face off in Guitar Hero
John and Greg's turn
Finally Greg and Tyson took a shot at it. Greg won, but Tyson had a blast anyway.

Everyone else over the age of 5 tried the game out, except me. I enjoyed watching. My favorite thing to do is watch my family play together!!

We had the family over for a Birthday Celebration for Charlie, Xavier and Medina. It was a fun evening. Instead of games, the group played Guitar Hero - taking turns challenging each other. Of course we also had the requested favorites: Fried chicken breasts coated with potato flakes, fresh fruit salad, spinach salad with Gma Bobbie's dressing recipe, and Tres Leche cake for dessert.

Dancing Babies

at Xavier, Charlie and Medina's birthday dinner the older folks were playing Guitar hero. Not to be left out, the little ones decided it was a good time to show off their dance moves. Gotta love baby dancing!!

Gotta figure out why some pictures will get big and some won't.   Frustrating.  I really wanted the picture of Danielle's wedding to be BIG.  It's such a great picture.

Utah Trip

We just got back from visiting Utah.  We went to see Danielle get married and it was very nice.

Danielle with her folks, Scott and Kim

This also gave us the chance to see other family members.  I didn't get a lot of pictures as I was busy much of the time or had handed off my camera (it was in Danny's pocket) while I helped out at the wedding.  So I missed getting a shot of my youngest brother, Robert, and his family.  I'm hoping Danny got one with his iPhone and will forward it to me.

Me, Mom, Diana and  Mike

We got to go through the Draper Temple - it's open for tours before it is dedicated. The glass work is amazing.   I'm glad we took the time to see it.   Maybe next time we visit we will get to attend a session there.

Draper Temple

And, of course, we saw snow.  Lots of snow.   Utah lake is frozen over but it was too cold to walk out on the ice.  Or maybe I'm just a chicken.  We drove over,  stopped the car for a bit, opened the door and took pictures, and then jumped right back into the warm car.
OK, yea, I'm a chicken.  I love looking at snow from some place warm.

Frozen lake - there's a boat at the end of the dock, frozen to the lake.

Watching My Babies Grow

Spending time with my grandkids is the very BEST!! I got to talk to Dillon last week - he's doing great in music - got to say "hi" to Charlee - hugged Tyson for a bit yesterday and got to spend time with Dani and KK last night while their parents and Tyson had a date. It was so much fun. And what talented kids they are. They played the piano for a bit and then took up different instruments. I miss the kids in Cleveland and was thinking last night what a great musical group we would have if they were all here. Molly can sing, Tyson on guitar, Dillon would be drummer of course, Dani on piano, Charlee on triangle and KK on recorder. That would be a group only a grandma could listen to for very long!
